Sam Harland trained as a classical actor before switching to stand-up in 2006, and that performance background still shows in a delivery that's warm, quick-witted and effortlessly at ease with a crowd. He won Hull Comedy Festival's Comedian of the Year in 2008 and was named Yorkshire MC of the Year in 2022, recognition of a compering skill that's made him a regular fixture at clubs across the country. His material draws on a colourful working-class upbringing, self-deprecating and cheeky rather than cynical. A dependable host who chats naturally with a crowd and turns that connection into some of the biggest laughs of the night.
