Mark Maier

Mark Maier

An award-winning Hollywood radio copywriter turned stand-up — clubs on five continents to prove it.

Mark Maier came to stand-up after a career as an award-winning radio copywriter in the UK and Hollywood, and that writing pedigree shows in sharp, well-crafted material that's travelled to clubs in Germany, Hong Kong, the Bahamas, South Africa and beyond, as well as The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Caroline's in New York. He's picked up three London International Advertising Awards and a Hollywood International Broadcast Award for his writing, appeared in Harry Hill The Movie, and written three series of BBC Radio 4's Trapped. He also founded the improv group MadLib, which performed at the Edinburgh Festival. A genuine writer's writer with real stage miles behind him.
