Anthony J Brown does things differently: instead of quick one-liners, he deals in long, carefully built jokes thick with imagery and misdirection, delivered dead-straight in bespoke, funeral-director-dapper attire without a scrap of profanity. He's won the Jongleurs/Metro "Stand & Deliver" Comedy Award, was runner-up for the BBC New Comedy Award, and has toured as support for Alan Carr. He's also appeared on Channel 4's Phoenix Nights and remains a regular headliner and compere at Hot Water Comedy Club and Just the Tonic. Slow-burn, dryly cynical, and quietly compelling rather than loud.
